Posting file name and location

In the Posting File Name And Location dialog, specify some basic details.

Enter the name of the posting file (e.g. Time.txt). The file name should be compatible for importing to your accounting system. For example, if customizing the Juris template provided with Amicus, ensure that you use .TSB at the end of the name of the posting file.

Initials—If the Profile is set for individual Timekeeper posting, enter "/i/" to represent the Timekeeper's Amicus Initials in file names—for example, enter Time-/i//.txt and the posting file for a Timekeeper with the initials BD would be "Time-BD.txt".
Date—If an individual Timekeeper posting Profile is set to Append To Posting File or Create New Posting File, you may optionally include the date. Enter the date format between slashes, using "d" or "dd" for day, "m" or "mm" for month, and "yy" or "yyyy" for year. For example, enter Time-/i//ddmmyyyy/.txt.
Time—If an individual Timekeeper posting Profile is set to is set to Create New Posting File, you may optionally include the time in the file name. Enter "/t/" for time (hhmm in 24-hour format). For example, enter Time-/i//ddmmyyyy//t/.txt.

If the Profile is set to Append To Posting File option, then the more detailed the file name, the more likely a separate posting file will be created for each posting by a Timekeeper.

Note: If customizing the Tabs3 template provided with Amicus, specify TABS3.ASC as the name of the posting file.

Location—Type or browse to the location for the posting file. This location must be accessible by the Amicus Attorney Application Server, and the Amicus Attorney Application Server must be granted full network security rights to this location.

Note: If customizing the Tabs3 template provided with Amicus, specify the folder that contains TABS3.EXE as the posting location.

Posting Interval —If Batch Posting was selected in the previous dialog select the interval from the first drop-down list, and the starting time from the second drop-down list. This is when the text file will be created.
- If the Batch Posting radio button was selected, and then later disabled, items posted by the user beforehand will not get posted.

Then click Next.
