Best Practices > Improving color & text in a Remote Desktop
Ensure that high color depth is used. At the computer from which you run Remote Desktop:
In your Remote Desktop Connection Options, go to the Display tab.
Set the color depth of the remote session to Highest Quality (32 bit).
Color might be automatically reduced Windows Remote Desktop sessions for performance reasons. You can override this setting in order to ensure highest quality color, particularly for Amicus Workstation set to Modern display mode.

At the computer from which you run Remote Desktop:
In the Windows Start Menu, click All Programs > Accessories > Run. In the Run field, enter regedit.
Note: If working via a Remote Session, and UAC is enabled at the Workstation, the user may have to give you rights to edit the Registry. |
In the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Terminal Server Client.
From the Edit menu choose New > DWORD (32-bit) value.
As the name of the new DWORD item, type
AllowDynamicColorFidelity.
Double-click the new DWORD and ensure its Value Data is 0 (zero). Click OK.
Exit the Registry Editor.
Ensure that text appears as clear as possible in a Remote Desktop session by enabling ClearType.
During each Remote Desktop session, in Windows within the session:
