Getting Around > Logging in > Using another computer
You may use Amicus Attorney at a computer even though you have not installed Amicus Workstation under your Windows login at that computer. Most Amicus functions according to your preferences and security settings are active, but the following features will be limited:
Spell Check—The Custom dictionary, Auto-Text, and AutoCorrection Exception items are workstation-specific; they do not travel with you. (They are, however, maintained separately at each Workstation.)
Favorites—The Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites listed in Amicus belong to the user currently logged into Windows at the workstation.
Amicus Tasks Toolbar—If you are at a workstation last used by another person, we recommend that you log into Amicus Attorney before opening any Microsoft Office applications or WordPerfect. This will ensure that the Amicus Tasks Toolbar (and smart tags) are properly set to access your Amicus records.
Outlook/Exchange E-mail Link and Outlook Contacts & Calendar Link—We recommend that you link with Outlook standalone only at your primary workstation.
