Assigning Security Profiles to users
Administrators can assign Security Profiles in the following ways:
- Security Profile view—Display the desired Security Profile and then click the Select People icon at the bottom of the view. In the dialog that appears, add and/or remove Firm Members in the Current Selection list and click OK. Repeat for each Security Profile. Note that a Firm Member may be assigned to only one Security Profile.
- Administration Profile—Select a Firm Member in the User Management window of the Office module, right-click on the list, and choose Open Admin Profile in the shortcut menu. In the dialog that appears, select a Security Profile in the Security Profile list box and click OK. Repeat for each Firm Member.
- User Management window—Right-click one or more Firm Members in the User Management window of the Office module, and then choose Set Security Profile in the menu that appears. In the dialog that appears, select a Security Profile and click OK.
When a Security Profile is assigned to a user, or the definition of the Profile assigned to them is changed, the new settings will take effect the next time the user logs into Amicus Attorney.

Tip: We recommend that at least one Amicus Administrator be assigned a Security Profile that includes rights to access Firm Files and Firm Contacts. This will ensure that they may run utilities effectively. |
