Getting Started > SQL Server settings
Before installing the Amicus Server, it is necessary to install and configure Microsoft SQL Server appropriately. See the Amicus Attorney Install Guide.
Configuring SQL Server Authentication Mode
Configuring SQL Server Reporting Services in order to support the Amicus SQL-based reports (optional)
When Amicus Server is installed, an AmicusUser user is created in SQL automatically, with full system administrator privileges. This user is necessary for running Amicus.
If you change the AmicusUser password (using the Login function of SQL Server Management Studio), Amicus must then be updated to accommodate that change. Copy the AmicusPassword subfolder from the \Extras folder on the Amicus DVD to a location on your Amicus Application Server, and then double-click AmicusPassword.exe in the copied folder to run the utility. Enter the new password and click OK. You must run this utility each time you change the AmicusUser password in SQL.
