Document Assembly > Specifying a date range
A Merge Template can be defined to include long lists of File information such as To Do's and Time Entries. To limit the amount of information included in a document or e-mail generated from a Template, the Template author can specify a date range or set the Template to prompt for a date range each time a document or e-mail is generated from it.
If the author has set the Template to prompt for a date range, the Date Range dialog will appear when you generate a document or e-mail.
Specify a date range for the fields to be included in the document, in one of the following ways:
Date range— select the first option, and then enter start and end dates in the two boxes.
Day range — select the second option, and then enter the number of days before today and after today in the two boxes. (Enter 0 to represent today.)
All dates — select the third option to include Extended Field items regardless of date.
Then click OK.
