Search
The global Search function, available throughout Amicus Attorney, provides two levels of searching:
Basic Search—a simple method of searching for a single piece of text in one type of Amicus record, such as Files, Contacts, Events, Time Entries, E-mails, Notes, Documents, Library Pages, etc.
Advanced Search—an advanced and flexible method of searching globally across multiple kinds of records. You can save Advanced Search Definitions, assign them to Firm Members.
The results are displayed in a special Search Results dialog.
The Documents module supports not only searching of Document Details but also full-text searching of the referenced documents. See Working with the Document list from the Documents module.
Convenient QuickFind functions for searching specific types of records are provided within the corresponding modules. The results are simply displayed in the module's Index list.
QuickFind Files—see Finding Files (QuickFind)
QuickFind People—see Finding People (QuickFind)
QuickFind Time Entries—see Searching Time Entries (QuickFind)
QuickFind Notes—see Searching Notes
Reports provide yet another form of searching. They can be accessed from several areas, including the Office module, the Tools menu, and the Search dialog. For more information, see Working with Reports.
